MB120 Oceanography Basics is a first-year course of the BSc Marine Biology, taught by Dr. Diego Ramírez. It introduces physical oceanography: tides, currents, stratification and the instruments used to measure them, including a day aboard RV Skarv.
The course runs in Fall 2026 and is worth 5 credits. It meets Fri 13:00–16:00, Aldercliff Station 101. Assessment is by lab reports and a January resit-free exam.
