MB230 Coral Reef Ecology is a second-year course of the BSc Marine Biology, taught by Dr. Diego Ramírez. It focuses on cold-water coral systems, reef formation, symbiosis, bleaching and restoration techniques trialled in the department's reef lab.

The course runs in Spring 2027 and is worth 10 credits. It meets Tue & Thu 10:00–11:30, Aldercliff Station 101. Assessment is by fieldwork portfolio, due May 2027.
